Work continues in the ancient city of Naula, which is located in Mahmutlar neighbourhood and is associated with the Byzantine period. Supervising the cleaning works in the ancient city, Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik said, ‘Our aim is to bring Naula Ancient City to tourism.’
The works carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Alanya Municipality in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to protect and reveal the archaeological values of the ancient city of Naula, which is located in the 1st Degree Archaeological Protected Area in Mahmutlar Quarter, and to bring it to cultural tourism continue. The cleaning work initiated by Alanya Municipality and Alanya Museum teams in the ancient city about 1 month ago continues meticulously. The plant cleaning works carried out by protecting historical values will end within 1 month. After the works, the landscaping project of the ancient city of Naula will be made in cooperation with Alanya Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and will be transformed into a visitable ruin.
